About our school
Elderslie Public School was established in 2009, and is located in a rapidly growing area in South West Sydney. In 2020, the school will have an enrolment of over 500 students, with over 21 classes and 3 support unit classes catering for the needs of students with Autism and students with emotional disturbance.
At Elderslie Public School, our vision is to create an innovative, inspiring and inclusive community. We aim to empower our students through student agency and ensure they feel valued in a safe environment that celebrates cultural identity.
A child's wellbeing is at the centre of all decisions, with each student's welfare being everyone's responsibility.
Our success is achieved by strong literacy and numeracy and specialised support programs.
Our technology is state-of-the art and is extensively used to complement student voice and choice through a range of pedagogies including inquiry-based learning.
Our dedicated, expert teachers foster an environment that is driven by knowing our students well and knowing our content. Our teachers engage in deep professional learning on a range of innovative practices including visible learning. We foster reflection, passion and lifelong learning of all staff supported by coaching and spirals of inquiry.
Our community is strongly connected with the school and is genuinely included in school decision making. This successful partnership is based on mutual respect and responsibility
