Grandparents Day!

At Elderslie Public School, we love to celebrate the wonderful grandparents and carers in our community. We would like to invite our amazing grandparents to share a fun afternoon making memories.

When: Friday, 24th October

Time: 1:30pm - Grandparents are warmly invited to join us for a picnic afternoon tea.

We look forward to seeing you all there!

Book Week

Book Week is a special time at Elderslie Public School where we come together to celebrate our shared love of reading. Throughout the week, students and staff participate in a range of fun and engaging activities designed to promote literacy and spark imagination. Our celebration also recognises the valuable contributions of Australian authors and illustrators. By encouraging early exposure to books and storytelling, Book Week plays an important role in supporting students’ cognitive development, emotional intelligence, and communication skills.

Mayor for a Day

100 Days of Learning

100 days of learning, 100 days of fun, 100 days of Kindergarten!

Kindergarten celebrated their 100th day of Kindergarten by dressing like they were 100 years old. Students listened to stories, made 100 crowns, created portraits of themselves as 100 year olds and painted 100 gum balls in a gum ball machine. The students particularly liked seeing their teachers who were also dressed up.

Arts Alive Workshop!

The day kicked off with an amazing Indonesian puppet show, "A Bucket Full of Beatles," featuring both shadow puppets and 3D puppets.

Students got creative in a hands-on workshop where they make their own shadow puppets using natural materials and had the chance to experiment with storytelling.

It was a wonderful day filled with creativity and collaboration! 🌟

Reconciliation Week 2025

This week, we proudly celebrated Reconciliation Week, a time to reflect, learn, and work together towards a brighter future. Our students have shown incredible dedication and enthusiasm in embracing this important journey. From engaging in meaningful discussions to participating in collaborative activities, they have illustrated the power of unity and understanding. We are so proud of their fantastic work and commitment to reconciliation! Let's continue to foster respect and recognition for the rich cultures and histories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Together, we can make a difference!

Anzac Day 2025

Our school community came together to honour and remember the brave men and women who have served our country in the armed forces — a day filled with respect, gratitude, and pride. These events provided an opportunity for students, staff and families to pay tribute to those who made sacrifices for our freedom. A sincere thank you to everyone who participated. Your presence and support showcased our school's commitment to remembering our ANZACs. The stories of courage and resilience shared during the services remind us of the importance of remembrance and the values of bravery, mateship, and sacrifice that ANZAC Day represents. We are incredibly proud of our school community.

Lest we forget.

Fire Safety Education

Kindergarten had some very special visitors today from Fire and Rescue NSW Station 093 Narellan!

As part of their PDHPE unit this term, students have been learning about how to keep themselves safe.

The firefighters delivered an engaging fire safety education program tailored specifically for Kindergarten students and aligned with the Early Stage 1 PDHPE curriculum. The program covered a range of important topics, including the role of firefighters in our community, how to stay safe in the event of a fire, the importance of creating and practising a Home Fire Escape Plan and essential safety tips about matches and lighters. It was a wonderful and meaningful experience for our youngest learners to build essential safety awareness in a fun and supportive environment. We especially loved hearing the sirens as the fire truck drove away! 🌟

Crazy Hair & Sock Day

What a Fantastic Day! Our Crazy Hair and Crazy Sock Day was a huge success, raising valuable funds to help renew our learning disposition costumes. A big thank you to everyone who participated and donated—your support was truly appreciated!

It was wonderful to see our staff getting involved and joining in the fun as well. Together, we made it a memorable day for our school community.

Let’s keep up the great work and continue making a difference, one event at a time! 🌟🎉
