Our extra-curricular highlights
Debating and public speaking
Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have the chance to compete in local and state events.
Creative and performing arts
Our drama, music and art programs help students be creative and express themselves. They can join in concerts, art shows and drama activities.
Trips and excursions
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world.
School Band
We are so proud to introduce the very first Elderslie Public School Band! This incredible group of students has been working hard each Tuesday morning, coming together as a full band to rehearse, and receiving small group tuition throughout the day to fine-tune their skills.
What makes this even more impressive? Just 10 weeks ago, these talented students picked up their instruments for the very first time – and look at them now!
Visit our socials to view the video of our budding musicians performing. The progress they’ve made in such a short time is nothing short of amazing. We can’t wait to see where this musical journey takes them next.
Diverse Learning
At Elderslie Public School, we are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment that celebrates diversity and meets the unique needs of all students. Our diverse learning framework is designed to ensure that every student has access to quality education and opportunities for growth, regardless of their background, abilities, or interests.
Environmental Initiatives
Students engage in a range of projects that promote environmental awareness and sustainability, such as the environment club, recycling programs, and our sustainable garden, where they grow fresh produce and collect eggs from the chicken coop. These hands-on experiences foster a connection to nature, encourage healthy habits, and develop key skills like cooperation, communication, and empathy. Together, these initiatives support children's overall development while laying a strong foundation for understanding sustainability and the importance of caring for the environment.
